Otavalo - Saturday Market

After the adventure in the Amazon we needed a bit of a girly time and went to do some shopping. Every Saturday there is a huge market in the north of Ecuador and heaps of foreigners are travelling there to buy jumpers, bracelets, scarfes and a lot of different local things that immediately reveal you as a traveller... We enjoyed it to stroll through the streets, enjoy the delicious fruits and oily-meaty streetfood and bargain with the vendors (my arabic vein helped me a lot in this issue). The 6hrs ride there and back kept us awake with the most beautiful landscape. At the end it was a chilled but expensive day and the night out, partying in Quito kind of hit us in the pocket as well. Well, they don't have Saunas here, so we had to do ourselves something good in a Ecuadorian way ;) .

In the morning there was an animal market

From Kufiyeh to Maria to Jinn lamps you could find everything

Hmm... which pullover should it be (that's how you recognise travellers...), they sometimes didn't have mirrors so deby was forced to take some beautiful pictures of me
